AQS Ribbon Winner!

Yesterday I received an exciting phone call....a quilt I quilted won a ribbon at AQS in Paducah, KY! Bed Quilts: Group. 3rd: Garden Refractions, Faithful Circle Quilters of Downers Grove, IL.
It is an orginal pattern created by Chris Moline and pieced by the Faithful Circle quilters. It is made with one-of-a-kind hand dyed fabric. The combination of pieceing, intricate applique and detailed embroidery makes this quilt special. I was honored to be asked to quilt it for them.
When I was told it was entered into the AQS show and I thought it was just going to be on display. How fun to learn it won a ribbon and awarded a cash prize!
Now that is has received an national award, the value of this quilt just went up! Raffle tickets are still available for $1 and the drawing will be held at their quilt show: September 19 & 20, 2009. Jefferson Junior High School, 7200 Janes Ave., Woodridge, IL. For more information on the Faithful Cirlce Quilters and their upcoming quilt show, visit their website http://www.fcquilters.com/

Congratulations, Julie. I know that you must be thrilled. This is a wonderfully pieced. The applique is exquisite. And your quilt really is simply divine. I love your McT and that feathered motif in the 3rd photo.
